David Obernesser

About David ...

David was born and grew up in Rockland county.  He started playing the bass at age 13 and soon started jamming with Beck in the basement.  They knew they wanted to start a band so they connected with Liam and Teo, two of the best musicians around.  They met weekly for hours jamming and developing their songs and sound.  Hanging at the “Rig House” playing music and being with the guys is one of David's favorite things.   The other is skateboarding. If he’s not hanging with his friends or playing bass, he is at a skatepark.   

Musical Influences …

Why the bass? - the bass provides the pulse and the heartbeat to the music. David's playlist is diverse.  He listens to funk, alt rock, rap, classic rock, disco, metal and new music. Even some blues sneaks in on his playlists. He studied music theory just to get a better understanding of basic materials and processes of music. Some of his influences include The Killers, The Smiths, Tool, Chic and B.B. King. Favorite bassist is Victor Wooten.

David is off to college in 2022.  “I'm in a great band, I can drop my board anywhere, life is good!”
